Perth a hard place to win at

The Breakers have flown out to Perth, confident they can pick up their third ANBL basketball title but knowing they have to overcome a difficult Wildcats home court.

The Breakers need just one more win after a convincing victory in game one at home on Sunday, to clinch a record-equalling third straight Australian basketball league title.

However the Breakers lost twice in Perth during the regular season, and the Wildcats have only lost one game at home in their new 13,000-seat stadium, and have won their last 14 straight.

The Breakers flew to Perth a day earlier than usual on Wednesday, in a bid to get a first win on their arch-rivals' home court this season - and obviously wrap up the best-of-three Grand Final series in two games.

Coach Andrej Lemanis says it's both a reward to the rookies and tradition with the club that they're all there for what could be the last game of the season.

Breakers swingman Tom Abercrombie says he knows it's going to be tough on Friday night.

The third match is next Thursday at Auckland's Vector Arena - if needed.
