The West Tigers and Kiwis league star Benji Marshall will know more this afternoon about his immediate future in the game after injuring a toe against Melbourne at the weekend.
Marshall has been named in the Tigers side to play St George-Illawarra this weekend, though he's unlikely to play having returned to Sydney on Monday with his foot in a moon boot.
Tigers officials are privately confident Marshall won't be out for three months as had been speculated, but a diagnosis will be made this afternoon by the club doctor after he examines an MRI scan.
The former Kiwis captain will almost certainly miss the test against Australia in Canberra next Friday.
