Injury has ruled the All Black prop Charlie Faumuina out of the remainder of the Blues Super Rugby campaign, meaning he'll also miss the June tests against France.
The Auckland prop Sam Prattley has been called into the Blues squad to replace him.
Faumuina suffered a torn calf muscle in the loss to the New South Wales Waratahs a fortnight ago and it was initially thought he'd be out for up to eigtht weeks.
But the Blues medical staff now expect his recovery time will be closer to 14 weeks.
Faumuina says he only learnt that at the weekend after his cast was removed and it was found the injury hadn't healed as much as hoped.
