The Warriors 11-game losing game streak is finally over, beating the North Queensland Cowboys 20-18 in their National Rugby League match in Auckland on Monday.
The match also marked new coach Matt Elliott's first win with the side, having lost all three of their games this seaon on the back of an eight-match losing streak which rounded out last season.
The Warriors trailed 12-0 late in the first half but rallied back to lead 20-12, with a late penalty from much-maligned kicker Shaun Johnson ultimately clinching the victory.
That eight-point buffer was needed as they went a man down when Ben Henry had to leave the field with concussion, then conceded a converted try with two minutes left.
But the Warriors grimly held on from there and finished the match with 12 players, having used up their interchange bench
