FIFA has announced that match-fixing bans on 58 Chinese football officials and players will be extended worldwide.

The 58 were banned a week ago by the Chinese Football Association after a three-year push to clean up rampant corruption in the sport in China.

33 have been banned from all football activities for life, and 25 were given five-year bans from all football activities.

Among those given life bans was Lu Jun, a World Cup referee once hailed as China's "Golden Whistle".
