Controversial Australian swimming coach Bill Sweetenham will temporarily work for New Zealand's high performance programme, while it searches for a new coach following the resignation of coaches Mark Regan and Scott Talbot.
Sweetenham oversaw the emergence of Australian champions Ian Thorpe and Grant Hackett before six contentious years as high performance director of British swimming.
He takes up a short-term role until the national championships in mid-March and starts next week.
