Lee under pressure in final tour event in Florida

7:08 am on 8 November 2012

The New Zealand golfer Danny Lee is preparing for the most important event of his season, needing his best result of the year to earn a place on next year's USPGA tour.

Lee's in the field for the final event of the regular season in Florida, which carries a winner's purse of just over a million dollars, and he'll tee off in the opening round tomorrow 164th on the PGA tour money list.

He needs to end the year among the top 125 money earners to have full playing rights on the world's richest tour in 2013.

Players ranking 151st or higher on the money list must return to the gruelling 6-round final qualifying tournament in Florida.
