The Wallabies aren't the only rugby side with injury problems with the Springboks likely to take plenty of younger players on their end-of-year European Tour.
Loose forward Jacques Potgieter has been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a groin injury.... the same problem that kept him out of the last Rugby Championship match against the All Blacks.
Coach Heyneke Meyer could well pick a new captain for the tour with Jean de Villiers still struggling with a hamstring injury.
Meyer is already without a number of key players including Schalk Burger, Juan Smith, Jaque Fourie, Fourie du Preez, Danie Rossouw, Ryan Kankowski, Bismarck du Plessis, Frans Steyn, Pierre Spies and Heinrich Brussow.
The Springboks play in Ireland, Scotland and England.
