The Irish rugby great Brian O'Driscoll has revealed he'd consider a switch to play in the Super Rugby competition.

The 33-year-old centre is contracted with his province Leinster and the Irish Rugby Football Union until the middle of next year but the New South Wales Waratahs recruitment of former Leinster coach Michael Cheika has opened the possibility of a move down under in 2014.

O'Driscoll has told the Australian Daily Telegraph that he would be excited to take on the calibre of players competing in Super Rugby.

O'Driscoll also revealed that he has long held an ambition to play Super Rugby and went as far as to inquire about a move last year.
