New Zealand motocross rider Levi Sherwood is the youngest ever winner of the Red Bull X-Fighters tour championship after winning the Sydney leg of the world series last night.

The 21-year-old Sherwood, also takes home a 1-point-3 million dollar purse for winning the championship.

Sherwood faced off against rival Thomas Pages of France in the final as the two tussled for top spot.

Pages had a horror start however, falling off his bike and Sherwood took advantage dazzling the crowd with an array of stunts to pip the Frenchman and claim the title.
