Sevens squad named to prepare for World Series

The New Zealand sevens coach Gordon Tietjens has named a squad of fifteeen to prepare for the start of the new IRB world series.

Tietjens says he has a good mix of experience and up and coming guys for next week's first training camp in Mount Maunganui.

The squad is Tomasi Cama, Sam Dickson, DJ Forbes, Joe Hill, Iopu Iopu, Mark Jackman, Steve Ketu, Warwick Lahmert, Rhys Llewellyn, Tim Mikkelson, Kylem O'Donnell, Ben Paltridge, Lote Raikabula, Belgium Tuatagaloa and Jamie Verran.

Toby Arnold and Scott Curry were not considered because of injury.

The squad will be trimmed to 12 for the first tournament on the Gold Coast in mid-October.
