Mourie impressed by McCaw, again

11:34 am on 19 September 2012

The former All Blacks captain and openside flanker Graham Mourie says he's amazed at the intensity current captain Richie McCaw continues to play the game.

McCaw played his 110th test at the weekend and the win over South Africa was his 98th test victory.

The 31-year-old carried the ball the most of any of the All Blacks in Dunedin and made the most tackles.

Mourie says McCaw is the best of all time and is staggered that after all he has been through over his 11-year international career that he could still put in a performance like he did in Dunedin.

McCaw has played every minute of the seven All Blacks matches so far this year. The All Blacks selectors have said that if they had to play this weekend then they would have seriously thought about resting him.

It's a weekend off in the Rugby Championship with the All Blacks heading to Argentina on Saturday.
