Valerie Adams has one more event in Europe and one more in Africa before she can return home to celebrate her Olympic success with the New Zealand public.

Adams wrapped up her second successive Diamond League title in Zurich this morning with a best throw of 20 point 81 metres.

Her victory also extended her unbeaten streak to 29, currently the longest by a woman in athletics and not far behind German Robert Harting's 32-meet run in the Discus Throw.

Adams will compete in Reiti in Italy in a couple of weeks before her last event of the season in mid September in Dakar, Senegal.

She's expected to arrive back in New Zealand towards the end of September, where she'll stay to prepare for competitions this summer.

Adam's manager Nick Cowan says talks with the International Olympic Committee are ongoing, but he expects an announcement will be made soon as to when she'll be awarded her gold medal from the London Olympics.
