7:54 am on 29 August 2012

Opener Hashim Amla hit 150 as South Africa beat England by 80 runs in the second one-day cricket international at Southampton.

South Africa's victory took them to the top of the ICC's one day rankings and ended England's run of 10 wins from their last 10 completed ODIs.

South Africa's 287 for 5 in 50 overs was built on an 89-run opening partnership between Amla and Graeme Smith, who made 52.

England lost regular wickets as they were dismissed for 207 in the 41st over.

The first match was rained off.

South Africa also top of the Test rankings after beating England in their series earlier this month.
