The New Zealand cyclist Hayden Roulston says he's delighted to have been selected to ride the Tour of Spain which starts this weekend.
The Vuelta will be his third grand tour, and after missing out on the Tour de France and Olympics this year, he says he felt he deserved something.
The Radioshack rider said on his website that he wasn't initially meant to be selected but when he was named he felt like a kid in a candy store.
Roulston says it's a tough Spanish race this year with plenty of uphill finishes.
Another New Zealander Julian Dean will also race the Vuelta this year.
