Brown finishes in top five in Thailand

The Wellington golfer Mark Brown has finished in a share of fifth place at the Thailand Open on the OneAsia Tour.

The former European Tour professional carded a seven under par 65 in the final round to finish on 18 under par, five shots back from English winner Chris Wood.

The result lifts Brown to 17th position on the OneAsia Order of Merit.

Fellow Wellington professional Gareth Paddison claimed a share of 22nd place while Hastings professional Doug Holloway finished tied for 61st.

Michael Hendry and Michael Long, who is the top ranked New Zealander on the OneAsia Order of Merit, both missed the cut.
