The New Zealand opening batsman Daniel Flynn has been ruled out of the second test against the West Indies starting in Jamaica tomorrow morning because of injury.

Flynn suffered a groin strain, similar to the injury which forced Daniel Vettori out of contention yesterday.

Flynn suffered the injury on the last day of the first test which they lost by 9 wickets and has failed to recover in time.

Flynn could be replaced at the top of the order by BJ Watling or Brendan McCullum, while Tarun Nethula could make his debut replacing Vettori.
