Black Caps beaten in first test

The West Indies cricketers have won the first test against New Zealand in Antigua by 9 wickets.

Chasing just 102 for victory on the final day, the homeside cruised to a 1-nil lead in the two test series with Chris Gayle unbeaten on 64.

Earlier New Zealand was dismissed in its second innings for 272 with Brendan McCullum scoring 84 and Martin Guptil 67, while pace bowler Kemar Roach took 5 for 60.

The second test is at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica starting on Friday morning.
