The Queensland Rugby Union will be asking SANZAR for a please explain, claiming the late arrival of key documents forced them to abort an appeal against Quade Cooper's ban.
And Cooper backed his Union's pursuit of the governing body over what he believed were judicial inconsistencies, after being forced to watch the Reds' sudden death Super Rugby finals clash with the Sharks Saturday night from the Suncorp Stadium stands.
Despite Cooper tweeting otherwise, the Queensland Union was still exploring an appeal but the necessary documents didn't arrive until midday Thursday, and they officially gave up an hour before the deadline.
