Penrith's Origin backrower Luke Lewis has signed a four-year deal with another National Rugby League side, the Cronulla Sharks.
The New South Wales star turned down offers from Newcastle, Wests Tigers and Parramatta to join the Sharks.
Lewis had been granted a release from the final two years of his contract with Penrith earlier this month after saying he needed a fresh start.
The request followed a decision by Panthers coach Ivan Cleary to dump Lewis as captain during the State of Origin period.
