New Zealand Cricket's named a 30-strong preliminary squad to prepare for the World Twenty20 tournament in Sri Lanka in September.

The squad includes only two players without international experience, Auckland's Anaru Kitchen and Canterbury's George Worker.

Otago fast bowler Neil Wagner, who's set to make his test debut in the West Indies, is also included.

The former Black Caps captain Dan Vettori has also been included having announced last month he was available for the tournament, having previously retired from the limited overs format at international level.

The 15 strong tournament squad will be selected in August.
