The Luxembourg cyclist Frank Schleck has tested positive at the Tour de France.

Cycling's world governing body the UCI has announced that Schleck, who finished third at last year's Tour, has an adverse analytical finding for a diuretic.

The finding came from a urine sample that Schleck gave on the Tour at the weekend.

He can now ask for his B sample to be tested within four days.

Schleck's team RadioShack have taken him out of the Tour.

He had been 12th on the Tour's overall standings.
