The Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor will move to the London football club Tottenham Hotspur in a permanent transfer from champions Manchester City.
Adebayor spent last season on loan at Spurs where the 28-year-old enjoyed a successful season, scoring 17 Premier League goals at White Hart Lane as Spurs finished fourth in the table.
Spurs new boss Andre Villas-Boas has welcomed the move which follows the signings of Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim and Jan Vertonghen, the Belgium international from Ajax Amsterdam.
