The New Zealand Warriors' coach Brian McLennan says his side needs to build on their 35-18 NRL victory over North Queensland at Mt Smart Stadium on Sunday.
The Warriors started the game strongly but the Cowboys came back into the match before the home side sealed the deal with two late tries.
McLennan is pleased with the way his players responded when they were down.
The result keeps the Warriors in ninth place, two points or one win outside the top eight.
The Warriors will meet the Gold Coast Titans next Saturday.
