The New Zealand cyclist Greg Henderson says he'll be in ideal form for the London Olympics, if he's selected.

Henderson is set to be the only New Zealander in the Tour de France, which starts next week and has been targeted by Bike NZ as a race that will help in selection for the games.

Henderson is excited about his first ever Tour after being selected by his Belgian Lotto team this week to assist their sprint star Andre Greipel.

The 35-year-old Henderson, a former track world champion, says as long as he doesn't do any serious damage in France, he'll be primed for London....

OUT:...goal of mine.

DUR:...16 secs

Hayden Roulston, Julian Dean and Jack Bauer are among the other contenders for the two New Zealand spots in the London road race.
