Vettori available for Twenty20 World Cup

The former New Zealand cricket captain Dan Vettori has declared himself available for the Black Caps' Twenty20 World Cup campaign in Sri Lanka in September.

A year ago Vettori announced he was retiring from the shorter forms of the game to concentrate on test cricket.

The chief executive of New Zealand Cricket David White says Vettori will provide valuable experience to the side and Sri Lankan conditions will suit his left arm spin bowling.

In 2009 Vettori was ranked the world's leading Twenty20 bowler.

The Black Caps preliminary tournament squad will be named next month.
