The All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen is expected to leave English football club Tottenham Hotspur within days following the sacking of Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
Redknapp brought Nelsen in from Blackburn Rovers as cover midway through last season.
However the New Zealander now appears to be surplus to requirements and reports in Britain say cross-town rivals Queens Park Rangers are interested in the 34-year-old.
Sky Sports says Nelsen will have a medical at Loftus Road in the next few days.
QPR start their second season back in the Premier League in late August.
