All Whites out of Oceania Nations Cup

There's been a massive shock at the Oceania Nations football Cup in Honiara, with New Caledonia stunning New Zealand 2-0 in the semi-finals.

A breakaway goal to Georges Gope-Fenepej in extra time and a 60th minute goal from Bertrand Kai provided New Caledonia 's first win over the overwhelming favourites in 36 years.

Both sides wasted plenty of chances before New Caledonia took theirs - they now face Tahiti in Sunday's final, after Tahiti beat the hosts Solomon Islands 1-0 earlier.

The winner represents Oceania in next year's Confederations Cup in Brazil.

All four semi-finalists progress to the next stage of World Cup qualifying, starting in September.
