The New Zealand racing driver Richie Stanaway will miss the remainder of the Formula Renault 3.5 season after crashing recently at Spa.
Stanaway fractured two vertebrae in the crash during the second wet race of the weekend.
While there was some hope that he may be fit for the next round of the championship at the Nurburgring later this month, Stanaway confirmed on his Facebook page on Friday that he will miss the rest of the season.
Stanaway will conduct the first month of his rehabilitation in Britain, before heading back to New Zealand.
