New Zealand's champion shot put thrower Valerie Adams has won the Rome Diamond League title.
Adams again dominated the field from the first round with her season best throw of 21.03 metres coming in the fourth round.
She finished 1.24 metres ahead of Lijiao Gong of China with Nadezhda Ostapchuk of Belarus third.
It's an encouraging start for Adams, with Rome her first outing of the season in the leadup to the London Olympics.
Adams competes in her next Diamond League meet in New York next weekend.
