Boss misses out on All Blacks tests

The Ireland and former Chiefs and Hurricanes halfback Isaac Boss won't get to play against the All Blacks next month after being ruled out of Ireland's upcoming New Zeland tour with a thigh injury.

Irish coach Declan Kidney had kept one of his halfback spots open hoping that Boss, who plays for Heineken Cup winners Leinster, would be fit.

Boss has played 15 tests for Ireland including one against the All Blacks in 2006 at Eden Park.

Ireland arrive in New Zealand on Friday.
