The Northern Mystics have taken the lead in the trans-Tasman netball championship following last night's nailbiting 57-56 win over the Canterbury Tactix in Auckland.
The Tactix foiled the Mystics' now-infamous lifting defensive tactics with clever switches and screens, and the Christchurch-based side overhauled a 10-goal lead midway through the second quarter and pushed the Mystics the whole way.
Cathrine Latu shot shot 33 points and Maria Tutaia 24.
