The Otago professional golfer Mahal Pearce has claimed his biggest win in a decade wih victory in the new Victorian Pro-Am by one shot in Melbourne.
Pearce shot a one over par 73 in trying conditions to claim the Pro-Am, which is sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia, by one shot from Victorian Ashley Hall.
The 34-year-old had rounds of 68, 73, 70 and 73 at the Legends and Open courses of Moonah Links, winning $23,000 for first place.
