Montpellier has won its maiden French League football title with a 2-1 win over AJ Auxerre, in a match that was interrupted three times by crowd trouble.
Fans threw tennis balls, toilet paper and tomatoes on to the pitch forcing players off the field shortly after halftime.
Police also had to evacuate sections of the stands after fans threw flares on to the pitch.
