The Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba has made an emotional return to the Reebok Stadium as he watched his English football team take on Tottenham Hotspur from the stands.
It is less than seven weeks since he suffered a cardiac arrest during an FA Cup fixture against Tottenham.
He was released from hospital last month.
Muamba recognised fans for the support he received while in hospital during an on-field appearance before the game.
Although the speed of Muamba's recovery has amazed his doctors, it is still uncertain if he will ever play professional football again.
