Knicks star cuts hand after loss

The New York Knicks star forward Amar'e Stoudemire suffered a badly cut hand following his team's 104-94 loss to the Miami Heat in game two of their first round NBA playoffs and could miss the remainder of the series.

It's understood Stoudemire hit the glass casing surrounding a fire extinguisher between the court and the Knicks locker-room, although the team gave no details of how the injury occurred.

The Heat lead the series 2-nil.

Elsewhere the Indiana Pacers beat the Orlando Magic 93-78 to level their series at 2-all.
