The Northern Mystics started and finished strongly to secure a 51-47 win over the Central Pulse in their trans-Tasman netball match in Palmerston North last night.

Cathrine Latu was dominant for the Mystics, shooting a perfect 100%.

The result leaves the Mystics third on the ANZ champsionship ladder, and the best of the New Zealand sides.

Earlier the Adelaide Thunderbirds beat the West Coast Fever 48-36 in Perth.

And after leading for the majority of the game the Queensland Firebirds somehow lost to the Melbourne Vixens in the final minutes of the game 52-51.

The Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic will look to get their first win of the season when they meet the Canterbury Tactix in Rotorua tonight.
