Black Caviar to run at Royal Ascot

6:37 am on 26 April 2012

The unbeaten mare Black Caviar will make her long-awaited debut in the northern hemisphere when she competes at Royal Ascot in June.

The five-year-old Black Caviar will travel to Britain after running in two races in Adelaide, where she will bid to extend her winning record to 21 races.

She was confirmed yesterday as an entry to the famous meeting, which is regularly attended by the Queen Elizabeth II, and is likely to run in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes on June 23.

That means she is unlikely to go up against Frankel, the unbeaten star of the northern hemisphere, as the world's top-ranked thoroughbred was given entries in both the Queen Anne Stakes and the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
