Blackadder concerned about effect of eye gouging allegations

The Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder believes eye gouging claims against his team were a negative ploy and is concerned where the allegations could lead to.

During the Crusaders 32-30 loss to the Bulls in their round seven super rugby encounter in Pretoria on Saturday two Bulls players complained of being eye gouged but the claims have been dismissed by the citing commissioner.

Blackadders believes it was an attempt by the Bulls to influence a white card and is concerned that as a result referees may start focussing on his players for any infringements.
