The Perth Wildcats coach Rob Beveridge says his team matches up well against NBL grand final opponents the New Zealand Breakers, who are sweating on the fitness of star Tom Abercrombie.
The identities of the two grand finalists were determined on Saturday night, when the home team won each of the game three deciders.
The defending champion Breakers scored a 97-80 win over Townsville, while Perth had a 88-67 victory over Gold Coast.
Auckland's Vector Arena, where Perth have never played, will host the opening game of the best-of-three series on Thursday.
The Breakers have their fingers crossed for the fitness of key play-maker Abercrombie, who suffered an ankle ligament strain on Saturday.
Perth coach Beveridge amits Abercrombie is a potential superstar and gets better every season.
Beveridge says the Breakers are a well drilled team who don't get flustered easily and says Perth will need to try to dictate the tempo of the game.
He says Perth match up well with the Breakers and believes the three high intensity games they had against the Gold Coast have hardened them up heading into the the grand final.
