Warriors utility Lewis Brown off to Penrith

6:46 pm on 28 March 2012

The Kiwis rugby league international Lewis Brown is to leave the Warriors having signed a three deal with Penrith.

Warriors recruitment manager Dean Bell says the club offered the 25 year old utility player a competitive offer but the two parties were unable to agree on a new contract.

Brown, who's played in the back row, centre and hooker joined the club in 2009 and will make his 65th NRL appearance against the Sydney Roosters on Saturday night.

Brown says it will be difficult leaving the club but believes playing at Penrith will benefit him long term.
