The Bolton Wanderers manager says Fabrice Muamba's family and the club have been overwhelmed by the well wishers from around the world as the Premier League footballer shows small signs of improvement.

Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest during Bolton's FA Cup quarter-final at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The 23-year-old midfielder remains critically ill in intensive care at the London Chest Hospital but his heart is now beating without the help of medication and he is also moving his arms and his legs.

Wanderers manager, Owen Coyle, says the outpouring of support has been incredible.

Muamba's long-term prognosis remains unclear.
