The New Zealand cricket captain Ross Taylor was pretty happy with his team's performance in the drawn first test against South Africa in Dunedin.

Yesterday's final day was rained out when the Blackcaps were chasing 401 to win.

New Zealand were 137 for two, and looking promising with Brendon McCullum on 58 and Ross Taylor on 48.

Taylor says he would have liked to have seen his bowlers penetrate a bit more while his batsmen should have had a bigger first innings lead, however says they responded in the second innings.
