Papua New Guinea will take on the New Zealand women's footbal team in a home-and-away play-off for a place at the London Olympics after beating Tonga 2-0 in the final of the Oceania Women's Olympic football qualifying tournament yesterday.

The Pacific Games champions were helped by the dismissal of Tongan defender Salome Va'enuku just before halftime for handling in the box.

Winning coach Steven Mune was satisfied with the victory but says they will have to improve on their defence ahead of the playoff against New Zealand.
