Midfielders Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik are the first players to leave the troubled Scottish football club Rangers after administrators rejected a proposal by the players to defer wages.

The pair had their offers for voluntary redundancy with no pay-off accepted.

The administrators are meeting the squad in a last-ditch attempt to agree on wage cuts, as the club strives to make monthly savings of 2 million dollars.
