The New Zealand Breakers all but sealed the Australian National Basketball League's minor premiership with a heart-stopping 101-99 overtime win over the second-placed Wildcats last night in Perth.

In arguably the game of the season, the Breakers fell 12 points behind during the third quarter and trailed by as many as nine in the last, but an amazing Mika Vukona tip-in with eight seconds left on the clock sent the game into extra time.

Tom Abercrombie hit a three and then Vukona and Gary Wilkinson combined for the Breakers' last nine points to lead them to victory.

Point guard Cedric Jackson starred for the Breakers with 23 points, six assists and four rebounds to help his side to a two game lead, and likely the top qualifying spot for the playoffs.

Gold Coast consolidated third spot with a 90-83 home win over Sydney.
