Carpet retailers from the United States have been visiting New Zealand to see where the wool begins.
They are from CCA Global Partners, the world's biggest carpet buyer, and it's subisidary, the International Design Guild, which have 2500 stores.
Some of these stores have started selling a new specially-designed range of carpets and rugs under the 'Just Shorn' brand, made with wool supplied by Elders Primary Wool.
CCA global chief executive Rick Bennet says their aim is to grow the programme.
