Landcorp is making the most of the lush pastures and good growing conditions after last year's droughts and destructive spring storms.
Chief executive Chris Kelly says its 105 farms are in a much better shape this year after regular rainfall and good sunshine hours.
He says the weather over past few months has been the kindest it has been for years and a pretty good result is expected for the year.
Landcorp is using this time to rebuild stock numbers, and mate hoggets, both of which it has not been able to do in recent years because of the dry conditions.
