Wool prices at the North and South Island sales on Thursday consolidated significant gains made last week.
The strong wool indicator, covering cross-bred wools is sitting at around $5.40 per kg, a level not seen since the early 1990s.
Prices for most cross-bred wools held firm with second shear prices up to 3% stronger.
End of season mid micron fleece gained up top 6% more and first lambs' fleece prices was strongly contested, lifting by 1.5% - 3%.
