Rural contractors are feeling the pinch as a result of dry conditions around most of the country.
However, this week's rain may go some way to easing the pressure.
The Rural Contractors Association says the industry is struggling: contractors have not been able to do any harvesting because crops have not been able to germinate and grow, in the dry conditions.
Executive director Roger Parton says some contractors may leave the industry.
